Rooftop solar canopies in Massachusetts
Boston’s large buildings now have emissions limits to meet. Rooftop solar cuts the grid electricity a building buys, and elevated canopies make room for it on crowded roofs.
Why elevated canopies fit Massachusetts roofs
Boston’s BERDO 2.0
Boston requires buildings of 20,000 sq ft and larger to cut emissions to net zero by 2050, with standards starting in 2025 for buildings of 35,000 sq ft and up.
Snow and weather
Our High Tilt System, at 15 to 70 degrees, helps snow slide off; every system is engineered for local snow and wind loads.
Older roofs
Many Massachusetts buildings will replace their roofs during the life of the array. Canopies can be designed so the roof is replaced underneath.
Our work, nationwide
Elevated canopies we have built over crowded rooftops. Planning a project in Massachusetts? We engineer every system for the local codes and loads.
Four systems, engineered for your roof
Every project gets location-specific stamped drawings for local building codes, wind and snow loads, and the roof’s structure.
Made in the USA
Racking manufactured by our sister company, Universal Aluminum Products, with 100% domestic content and 80% recycled industrial aluminum waste. One team designs, engineers, manufactures and installs it.
